I go through more books than anything else.
I am currently reading two. Percy Jackson & The Olympians Book Two: The Sea of Monsters. It's a whole new twist on mythology. I'm a big fan of mythology. I can't get enough of it. And just to have it modernized is great. I know it's a young adult/teen novel and I am clearly not either but this is my guilty pleasure. Besides, it doesn't matter. I just like reading and if the story is good who cares is it's technically for someone younger.
And the second book I am currently reading is Inkheart. It's actually a slow read. I can't get into it enough for me to fly through it like most the books I own. And honestly, who wants to read a book talking about a book of the same name? How did this story become a movie? I would give up on the book if it weren't for the fact that it was a gift and I tend to take things like that seriously. I don't want to waste some one's hard earned money just because it's not the most interesting thing I've read.
Speaking of my addiction to books. I did mention that, right?
I bought another book today. It seems new. I've never seen it before but it kind of reminds me of another set of books I've been reading (The Night World saga) so I scooped it up and am now a proud owner of Thirst, yet another vampire novel. I have dozens of vampire novels including the Twilight saga (which is the best thus far). If it's as interesting as the first two Night World novels then I'm sure to fly through it in two days, possibly three since I'll be working the rest of the week. Not to mention I'm eager to find out what happens in The Sea of Monsters. Then I'll be excited to get the next three books in the series. Hopefully soon.
If anyone has read a good page turner, please, let me know. Thanks for reading.
